hi! Today I will tell you something of the boy band of the moment: One Direction is a British-Irish boy band consisting of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik. The band was formed in 2010, Simon Cowell through the program, The X Factor. In 2012, One Direction received the award for best British single (for "What Makes You Beautiful") at the BRIT Awards.2

In 2010, One Direction signed a contract with Syco Music and released their debut album Up All Night, which ranked second in the list of UK Albums Chart, selling 138,631 copies in its first week of lanzamiento.3 The album was one of the twenty best sellers in the UK in 2011.4 from this were extracted three singles, the first released was "What Makes you Beautiful", it debuted the first and fourth lists UK Singles Chart and Billboard Hot 100, respectively. His second single "Gotta Be You" ranked third in the UK Singles Chart. His third single released was "One Thing", which ranked ninth in the lists becoming the third consecutive single Up All Night which is among the top ten.
